Trumpet is proud to announce we’ve been approved for delegated credentialing with several insurance carriers. Delegated credentialing is an agreement with an insurance company that allows Trumpet to conduct the provider credentialing process in-house. Insurance providers require the credentialing process to allow autism treatment providers to conduct and bill for ABA services. This process can be lengthy and requires verification of dozens of pieces of information, including:
The transition from payer credentialing to delegated credentialing means that Trumpet can conduct the review in 1-2 weeks, while the traditional process takes 90 or more days to complete. This means our qualified therapists can get through the approval process and begin supporting children with autism much faster. We believe all individuals with autism should have access to high-quality autism treatment, and delegated credentialing allows us to provide our outstanding ABA clinical services to more patients and families. Additionally, our internal credentialing process has been verified and approved by payers as being accurate, thorough, and meeting all the requirements to ensure our therapists are qualified to provide services. This is a significant endorsement of our process, our ongoing monitoring of our providers, and the caliber of our ABA therapists.
