A child’s autism diagnosis means parents are living in a new world, one that is best navigated with support. At Trumpet Behavioral Health, it starts with a phone call.
Nicole Sorce, Director of Client Support Services at Trumpet Behavioral Health, has experience with supporting parents after their child’s autism diagnosis. “When parents first call us, they are going through a grief process,” she says. “It’s a tough time, but we are the people who make it less tough.”
Each family who calls us is greeted by a referral coordinator. Nicole says these experts are empathetic. “We think, ‘How would I want to be helped if I were the one calling? Are we providing that service?”
Referral coordinators stay with families through enrollment at Trumpet Behavioral Health, serving as personal guides from start to finish. They obtain insurance coverage information, work out a financial plan and match parents with the local Board Certified Behavior Analyst® (BCBA®) who best meets their child’s needs.
Applied behavior analysis, or ABA, is a highly effective form of autism therapy. It provides demonstrable results, allowing children to learn new skills rapidly and efficiently after an autism diagnosis. It is supported by decades of research, and is covered by insurance in every state that Trumpet Behavioral Health operates in.
By pursuing ABA therapy, parents are taking the first step to help their child live a full and happy life.
“Our goal is to provide hope,” Nicole continues. “There are services out there that will help you. Our focus and goal at Trumpet is to provide the best services we can. If you do not know what to do next, give us a call and we will help you get started.”
