TBH Families

We are following up on our previous communications concerning the Coronavirus and how it may impact you and the services you receive from Trumpet. We are aware that some or all the school districts in your area may have temporarily closed or are contemplating closure.

We continue to monitor guidance from state, local and federal health authorities and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to ensure we are making decisions with the most up to date perspective. We also continue to develop response plans based on that guidance and information shared by our teams and clients on a location by location and region by region basis.

The service we provide is largely a face to face service and as such, we are limited in our ability to provide these medically necessary services to your family remotely. Due the nature of the treatment your family member receives we need to balance our role in mitigating the potential spread of the virus with our obligation to provide crucial clinical services to our families.

At this time, given the relatively smaller size of our clinics, the current information we have on team member and client diagnosis (or lack thereof), and the preventive measures we continue to take we do not plan to close any of our centers or cancel any of our planned therapy sessions due solely to a local school district closure. School districts have different considerations due to much larger populations and different physical environments than our centers and our home-based services.

Based on the information we have today we do not believe closing our locations is a step that is aligned with the current guidance from the CDC and local health authorities. This may change over time as we receive new information, the guidance changes or the situation in your area evolves.

We also realize that these types of changes in schedule and routine can be particularly disruptive to those we serve. For those of you that may need the help of additional services during this time we will work to provide that support if we can do so appropriately and safely. Please contact your Clinician or our scheduling team at scheduling@tbh.com or 855-824-5569 to arrange additional services.

We know how challenging and emotional this situation is for you, for our teams and for all of us in this country and around the world. We remain dedicated to providing your family with the medical care your family member needs whenever possible to do so safely. We continue to review additional safety measures and will be immediately instituting a health screening process prior to the start of all therapy sessions and prior to anyone entering our locations. (The policy is included at the bottom of this communication.) Please also continue to follow guidance on what we can all do to help prevent the spread of Coronavirus and other illnesses.

As a reminder:

What does Trumpet do?

What can you and our Team Members do?

Use the following precautions to reduce the potential spread of disease:

We will continue to monitor the situation and other health related news and update you on further precautionary steps as directed by state and regional public health organizations and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Thank you for your continued thoughtfulness and partnership as we navigate the current situation together.

New Health Screening Policy

Team TBH, as we continue to take steps to protect our Team Member’s and Clients’ health, we are instituting a new health screening policy.

When a team member or client enters a TBH center for the first time or prior to entering a home for a home-based session the following questions should be asked of all present:

  1. Do you now or have you in the last 24 hours had a fever or reasons to believe you may have a fever?
  2. Have you been in direct contact with any individual with a confirmed case of the Coronavirus?
  3. Have you in the last 14 days traveled to a country or region on the Centers for Diseases Control’s advisory list https://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/notices
  4. Do you have or have you had any of the following symptoms in the last 24 hours – cough or shortness of breath?

If any of the above questions are answered in the affirmative, please immediately ask the individual/s to leave the location and cancel the session. If it occurs prior to starting a home-based session please cancel the session before entering the residence. Please report this occurrence to HR and your supervisor.

If an individual refuses to answer any of the questions or is not able to, please ask them to leave until they can do so. If needed, please cancel the session. If all the questions are answered negatively (meaning with a NO answer) please proceed with the scheduled session.
