Find autism resources at Trumpet Behavioral Health
It takes a village to raise a child with autism. As a national autism treatment provider, Trumpet Behavioral Health realizes that educators and healthcare providers play important roles in helping children with autism reach their full potential. To help you better serve these children, we offer a variety of autism resources.
Autism resources for educators
As a national autism treatment provider, we work with general and special education teachers, school psychologists and other members of the teaching team to address the challenging behaviors of students with autism. Children and adolescents with autism require unique treatment plans, and Trumpet provides autism resources to help educators.
Our Board Certified Behavior Analyst® (BCBA®), Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst® (BCaBA®) and Registered Behavior Technician™ (RBT®) professionals can help educators create individualized autism behavior plans, develop autism intervention programs and provide on-site professional services, including assessments.
We recognize that educators have limited time and resources to serve the needs of their students. The Trumpet team strives to be a resource for educators and the students they serve.
Autism resources for healthcare providers
As the incidence of autism diagnoses continues to grow, it can be overwhelming to keep track of the latest developments. As a national autism treatment provider, we have dedicated team members focused on developing resources and educational materials to better serve and educate healthcare providers.
Children and adolescents with autism need comprehensive and individualized treatment, but many of them do not receive the diagnosis and treatment they need to become productive members of their families, communities and world. Now more than ever, healthcare providers play an important role in coordinating treatment for individuals with autism.
The Trumpet team realizes that healthcare providers are busy, so we offer training and support on many autism topics. Healthcare providers can turn to e-learning from the Trumpet Learning Center or schedule training sessions with our experienced and highly trained team members.
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy can consist of a lot of procedures that differ in how they are applied and used in the treatment of individuals with ASD. All these strategies are based on the principles of ABA. These procedures are often combined to create optimal treatment outcomes for targeting language, social skills, toileting, other adaptive living skills, play and leisure skills. These procedures and associated terms include:
- Differential reinforcement
- Behavioral momentum
- Prompting and prompt fading
- Behavioral Skills Training (BST)
- Functional Communication Training (FCT)
- Discrete-Trial Teaching (DTT)
- Incidental Teaching
- Natural Environment Teaching (NET)
- Functional assessment
- Preference assessments
- Activity schedules
- Generalization and maintenance procedures
